This intensive is led collaboratively by Iwona and Paweł.
Iwona (with Paweł’s assistance) will offer a BMC-informed warmup, usually starting with paired bodywork exploration. Each day focuses on a distinct body system tuning, from starting with bones, joints, fascia and skin, through developing skills for embodied communication, alongside finding and following creative impulses in dance. Thanks to the ability to connect and touch from the level of different body systems, we will enrich our dialogue in contact through giving and receiving skills which will let us tread novel pathways for our movement and dynamic changes.
Paweł (with Iwona’s assistance) will lead the second part of the class, where we will explore varied ways of being in contact, including the use of levers, lifts and weight sharing techniques. In addition, we will experiment in duos and trios with up-side downs, fight orientation, drunk style dancing, tango influences, sensing, shaping, holding and falling.
